Coming out to family, friends and at work over and over can be exhausting and painful. The LGBTQIA Community faces daily microaggressions, macroaggressions and for many people there is a constant battle to find community even in a city like New York.

Starting a relationship with a therapist at BeWELL is important. This relationship can help you process the thoughts and feelings that come with the microaggressions you face daily. A BeWELL therapist will always be non-bias and able to sit with any feeling or thoughts in the room. She will help navigate difficult conversations in relationships, career and family along with any of the challenges that come with these interpersonal dynamics.

Therapy for Transgender and Gender Questioning

Transgender people are people assigned the wrong gender at birth. For many Trans people they state they have always known that they were in the wrong body.

According to the Transgenderequality.org website: “Some people may spend years feeling like they don’t fit in without really understanding why, or may try to avoid thinking or talking about their gender out of fear, shame, or confusion.  Trying to repress or change one’s gender identity doesn’t work; in fact, it can be very painful and damaging to one’s emotional and mental health.”

BeWELL Therapists are trained to help you navigate this internal conversation and to help you to understand the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing. BeWELL NYC and Hoboken, NJ is committed to providing a non-bias space.
