Odalis is a mental health counseling intern at BeWELL Psychotherapy and Wellness, passionate about providing trauma-informed care. She is dedicated to fostering a safe, transformative space where clients feel free to explore any aspect of their emotional experience. With warmth and openness, Odalis supports individuals as they navigate their mental health journeys.
As a compassionate therapist-in-training with hands-on experience across various healthcare settings, Odalis brings a grounded, culturally attuned perspective to her work. A native New Yorker, she has a deep understanding of the complexities of city life and the diverse cultural contexts her clients may come from.
Her clinical experience includes working with individuals facing major depression, which has strengthened her skills in providing empathetic support, engaging with diverse populations, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
Odalis specializes in life transitions, anxiety, grief and loss, women’s mental health, and mindfulness-based approaches. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Through a psychodynamic lens, Odalis supports clients in exploring how past experiences and unconscious patterns may influence their present struggles—helping them gain insight and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Central to her work is the belief that therapy is a sacred and collaborative process, grounded in trust and mutual effort. Odalis prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship, creating a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Her approach is rooted in cultural humility, empathy, and deep respect for each client’s individual story.
Odalis is also bilingual and offers therapy in Spanish.
