FAQ

How long can I expect to be in therapy?

The length of treatment is different for everyone. People can choose to see a therapist either for a shorter period of time (1-2 years) or for a lifetime. It all depends on your needs – and your therapist can work with you to best meet these needs at your peace and comfort level.

Session length and frequency?

Sessions are 45 minutes long and we recommend weekly sessions. However we do offer a variety of ways to fit schedules and budgets.

How do I pay for sessions?

We ask you to leave a credit card on file before you meet with your therapist. You can choose to pay at the end of the session in person or we can run your credit card for you at the end of each week. Amex, Visa, Mastercard, HSA/FSA cards, Debit, Cash or Checks are all accepted. Find more information, here.

Insurance and how does it work?

Be.WELL. is an Out Of Network provider with all major insurance companies. As a courtesy to you we take care of all the billing for you.

The Steps to understand your insurance:

Many people stray away from taking care of their wellness needs because this means dealing with insurance companies. Oftentimes, this is an extremely confusing process. Every insurance company is different and enforces various payback rates and rules. The Be.WELL. Billing team understands navigating insurance can be a tireless process so because of this we take care of all insurance billing and reimbursement for our patients. Our Practice Manager is also available to answer any questions and will respond to all questions within 24 hours.

The following are the typical steps we take with your insurance company:

A) We call your insurance company prior to your first session and find out all the information we can (such as your out of network deductible, reimbursement rate, and insurance policy).

B) If you have out of network benefits you will need to satisfy your deductible before your coverage starts.

Unfortunately we won’t know until we bill for your first session how much of your session rate will be applied to the deductible. Once we have that information our Practice Manager will make sure you get the information. At this point we will let you know what your adjusted out of pocket rate will be. In some cases, insurance companies can take up to 30 days to process your claim, so we ask that you be patient.

C) We will work with you to ensure that you are comfortable with the out of pocket costs and frequency of session and be your partner in all the finances.

Why are you not an in-network provider ?

Many in-network insurance providers will restrict the number of sessions and rely on a diagnosis for services to continue. Additionally, in network benefits often times will restrict who you choose to see for treatment. We believe in the relationship of the therapy team – you and your therapist and you get to choose.
Additionally, we believe that one of the values of therapy is your investment in yourself. We will partner with you to make sessions affordable and assure you are getting the highest quality of care.

How can I make this affordable?

Our session rates are industry standard. Our rates are based on our location and other various factors. We go to great lengths to make your sessions affordable to you and also give you a space that is comfortable and welcoming, that you want to return to.

If we have not answered your question please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will be sure to do our very best to answer.

We understand that Therapy is a big step and we will do everything we can to make this as seamless as possible.

Do you offer Sliding Scale?

We do. Our therapists rates are based on experience and time in the field. We are a training facility for new therapists. In partnership with area universities we are able to offer session rates for as a little as $100 per session with our Student Practicum Program.
