Ryan Gildersleeve, LMSW

Psychotherapist
She/Her/Hers

My approach to therapy is to lead with warmth and curiosity in order to help you gain insight and advance your overall well-being. I aim to create a safe, compassionate space for you to share and learn about your past and current experiences. With notable passion for working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and those struggling to navigate life transitions, I help to empower my clients with tools to cope with the stressors and anxieties of daily life. I am also a firm believer in laughter as a means of human connection and embrace humor as a tool within the therapeutic relationship.

I understand that we all experience the world through the lens of our individual experiences, and intend to personalize care based on your needs. I strive to create a collaborative environment where we work together to achieve your goals.

I earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Boston University and a graduate degree from Columbia University’s School of Social Work. My coursework and fieldwork facilitated an eclectic approach that I carry into my practice today, drawing from modalities such as psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches to support your needs.

Throughout every step of the therapy process, my ultimate goal is that you feel heard, cared for, and empowered. I am currently accepting new appointments and look forward to beginning our work together!
