Ryan is an advanced year student at Columbia University’s School of Social Work. She is committed to providing a safe, compassionate space for her clients to share and learn about their current experiences. Ryan hopes to empower her clients with tools to cope with the stressors and anxieties of daily life. Ryan understands that we all experience the world through the lens of our indivudal experiences, and she intends to personalize care each session based on the client’s needs.
Ryan has notable experience working with adolescents and young adults, and values active listening, empathy, and acceptance in therapy. She is also a firm believer in laughter as a means of human connection and embraces humor as a tool within the therapeutic relationship. Ryan’s coursework emphasizes clinical skills that are guided by evidence based practice and an anti-oppressive approach. She believes that effective practice entails working collaboratively with her clients to enhance their quality of life and achieve their goals.
