Ryan is a psychotherapist and internship program coordinator with BeWELL Psychotherapy and Wellness. Her approach to therapy is to lead with warmth and curiosity in order to help you gain insight and advance your overall well-being. She aims to create a safe, compassionate space for you to share and learn about your past and current experiences. With notable passion for working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and those struggling to navigate life transitions, Ryan helps to empower her clients with tools to cope with the stressors and anxieties of daily life. Ryan is also a firm believer in laughter as a means of human connection and embraces humor as a tool within the therapeutic relationship.
Ryan understands that we all experience the world through the lens of our individual experiences, and intends to personalize care based on your needs. She strives to create a collaborative environment where you will work together to achieve your goals.
Ryan earned a graduate degree from Columbia University’s School of Social Work, and adopts an eclectic therapy approach. Ryan draws from a blend of behavioral and psychodynamic approaches that together facilitate greater understanding of our patterns of behavior and offer practical skills to enhance overall well-being. Evidence-based modalities that inform Ryan’s work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
