Melanie Stitt , LMSW, LSW
Deciding to make changes to your life is a huge step but once you decide to do it, the most amazing things start to happen! Melanie uses a harm reduction approach and is committed to working with young adults who never believed they had options for self care, wellness and self exploration. She is excited about using her creative and clinical backgrounds to work with young people who struggle with issues of self esteem, peer and family conflict and more. She meets people where they are, works collaboratively to identify goals and missions and makes sure her patients are included every step of the way in their treatment.
Part of what makes her treatment approach unique is her diverse background, having a creative background in the fashion industry after undergrad as well as growing up in other cultures as the child of military personnel. Constant transitions throughout her live provides a different perspective and opportunities to think outside the box in creating interventions with her patients.
As a Social Worker, she has experience working in direct care, school and family court settings, and she uses this as opportunity to expand her skills and knowledge. Forever a student, she is always learning and expanding.
Melanie’s goal is to help you live a life you’re happy and proud of by finding ways to release the stigma placed on us by family, society and ourselves.
