Divya is a training clinician at BeWELL Psychotherapy, anxiety expert, trauma specialist, and has extensive training in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She completed a training fellowship in cognitive behavioral therapies where she was trained from knowledge collected by experts at Columbia University and New York State Psychiatric Institute. Divya is a continuous learner and always up-to-date on the latest clinical knowledge to provide her clients with effective and compassionate treatment.
She is diligent about understanding her client’s symptoms and how they interfere with their daily functioning. With that understanding, she creates a collaborative environment to ensure that you take steps toward feeling “unstuck” by processing difficult emotions, providing evidence-based skills, and identifying your values.
She tailors treatment to each individual and draws from various modalities with the goal to help her clients reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression, better understand themselves, sustain healthy coping skills, and improve their interpersonal relationships.
