EMDR Intensives

What Is an EMDR Healing Intensive?

An EMDR Healing Intensive is a concentrated therapeutic experience designed to help you:

  • Process trauma, grief, or major life transitions
  • Restore emotional and nervous system regulation
  • Move through stuck patterns more efficiently
  • Integrate psychological and somatic healing in one cohesive experience

Rather than spreading this work over many months, intensives allow for deeper, more focused therapeutic momentum—while still honoring safety, pacing, and integration.

What to Expect

Each intensive is tailored to your unique needs and may include:

  • Comprehensive intake and goal-setting with your EMDR therapist
  • Extended EMDR sessions focused on trauma processing, emotional regulation, or specific life themes
  • Somatic support such as Reiki, acupuncture, or massage
  • Guided grounding and mindfulness practices
  • Aromatherapy and nervous system-calming rituals
  • Light lunch, warm tea, and nourishing snacks
  • A personalized follow-up and integration plan with recommendations for continued care

Format & Investment

Consultation (20–30 minutes)
A brief consultation call is the first step in the process. This gives us a chance to determine whether an EMDR intensive is the right fit, answer questions, and discuss goals, timing, and readiness for deeper trauma work.

Assessment Session (60–90 minutes)
Before scheduling an intensive, clients complete a separate assessment session. This includes review of intake forms, further clinical assessment, and dissociation screening to ensure the intensive format is appropriate and to support safe, effective treatment planning.

Half-Day Intensive (4–5 hours)
For clients who need preparation and resourcing work built into the day, the intensive may last 4–5 hours. This format can include EMDR therapy, somatic support, guided grounding, aromatherapy, lunch, and a personalized integration plan.

Focused Intensive (3 hours)
For clients who are already prepared for reprocessing work, a 3-hour intensive may be used to focus primarily on EMDR Phases 3–7.

Post-Intensive Re-Evaluation (One Week Later, 30 minutes)
A brief re-evaluation session is scheduled approximately one week after the intensive to check in, assess progress, and support integration.

A Gentle Note on Readiness

EMDR Healing Intensives are designed for clients who have some therapeutic foundation and emotional stability.
