“Embrace Empowerment in Singlehood” was a 6-week virtual psycho-educational group designed to support women navigating singlehood in the tri-state area. The group created a safe, supportive space for self-discovery, confidence-building, and redefining fulfillment beyond relationship status.
Whether participants were single, in a situationship, or simply seeking a space for personal growth, this group offered an inclusive environment to show up authentically and connect with like-minded individuals.
About the Group
Led by Brijuan Phillips, LMSW, BeWELL Psychotherapy’s “Single On Purpose” group focused on empowerment, resilience, and self-exploration in singlehood. The program aimed to:
- Address societal pressures and stigma surrounding singlehood
- Support a mindset shift toward confidence and empowerment in being single
- Provide tools to build self-esteem and comfort in solitude
Who It Was For
This group was designed for women who:
- Struggled with singlehood or fear of loneliness
- Wanted to build confidence while embracing solitude
- Were ready to explore happiness independent of relationship status
- Identified as BIPOC women ages 25–35

- Connect with others sharing similar experiences
- Develop tools for self-confidence and emotional resilience
- Explore societal influences and internalized pressures
- Engage in guided reflection and weekly conversation prompts
