Val Brindisi, LMSW
Val believes that therapy is meant to be a creative, collaborative process in which individuals and couples have the opportunity to find new ways of understanding their unique narratives. She offers a supportive environment and works with clients to develop an individualized, goal-oriented approach to reaching their full potential.
Val seeks to help clients better manage stress, anxiety and depression; to support them through life transitions; to improve communication patterns, strengthen relationships, and process past trauma. A skilled mediator, Val helps couples improve communication, rebuild trust, remove barriers to intimacy and work through struggles due to infertility.
She is dedicated to helping adults, and adolescents navigate obstacles in their personal, interpersonal, and professional lives, fostering happiness, fulfillment, healing and growth.
Authentic and empathic, she draws from her diverse experiences to form genuine connections and create a safe, therapeutic space. By integrating culturally sensitive and psychodynamic perspectives, she helps clients explore their identity with the aim of finding their authentic self and cultivating a greater sense of self-worth. Through evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, she helps clients to identify the critical thought patterns that are often at the root of negative feelings and self-destructive patterns of behavior, and works with them to develop coping skills and emotional regulation strategies.
Val believes accessing an improved quality of life and the ability to foster lasting change already exists within each individual and couple. Let her be your dedicated and humble guide on the journey to fulfillment.
