She aims to help increase clients’ emotional abilities so that they can navigate their life and live a more satisfied and fuller existence. She believes that feeling safe, seen, and respected in session is essential to release shame and heal trauma so that in turn you can create a life where you truly flourish.

Jerisel works with her clients so that each person feels capable and confident of challenging oppressive forces getting in the way of the life they wish to live. She understands that gaining awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors is essential to breaking free of negative, maladaptive, and destructive cycles. Jerisel utilizes psychoanalytic theories, attachment focused EMDR techniques, and a holistic approach to fully grasp the obstacles clients face.

She believes that to live in this world is to have experienced trauma, which is why she is passionate and enthusiastic about helping individuals heal these trauma wounds life throws at us. The human experience is unique to everyone in this world because of this she tailors therapy to meet the individual needs of each client. Jerisel is constantly educating herself so that she can provide her clients with the mental care that relates to and reflects their unique cultural experiences. She works from an integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centered framework. Jerisel recognizes that therapy can feel ambiguous, scary, and overwhelming because of that she focuses greatly on building a strong, trusting, and comfortable therapeutic relationship. She is committed to helping clients feel accepted, seen, and heard. She aims to provide a safe space where you can feel free to explore your inner self.
